Kriss Law / Atlantic Closing & Escrow Holds Another Successful Complimentary Continuing Education Event
Newton - Kriss Law/Atlantic Closing & Escrow added to a long line of successful Realtor continuing education events today by hosting 550 Agents at the Newton Marriott. As per the format that now has become a staple in the realty community, Kriss Law/Atlantic's Mike Krone, Esq. moderated the day's events.
For the morning session, Attorney Krone was joined by a panel of experts for a spirited discussion of Appraisal Process and Valuation. A topic that is always a recurring issue to Agents and their Buyers and Sellers, Brian Koss, Managing Partner, Mortgage Network, Nancy Monbouquette, Regional Sales Manager, Citizens Bank, and Jonathan Asker, North Atlantic Appraisal, joined Mike for the presentation.
The Agents in attendance for the morning session were treated to in-depth breakdowns of new appraisal rules, valuation challenges facing lenders, and the overall difficultly of the process in today's financial market.
Upon completion of the morning session, attendees were treated to lunch courtesy of Kriss Law/Atlantic. During the break, many of the Agents mingled with the day's sponsors and each other. At the completion of the lunch break, several of the day's sponsors offered raffle gifts to the Agents including multiple I Pads and tickets for upcoming Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics games.
The topic for the afternoon session was Understanding Title. Joining Attorney Krone for this portion of the program were Bard Conn, District Sales Leader, Metlife Home Loans, Kevin Jenkins, Senior Vice President, Prospect Mortgage, and Eric Kuharich, Branch Manager, Wells Fargo Home Loans.
This session was highlighted by several thought provoking Agent questions related to title issues that have been affecting closings as of late. Attorney Krone, Mr. Conn, Mr. Jenkins, and Mr. Kuharich all enlightened the audience on ways to avoid these issues and the reasons behind their existence from a financing perspective.
At the conclusion of the second session, Agents were given their credit certificates. The attendees earned 4 continuing education credits toward their license renewal. Many of the Agents in attendance have fulfilled up to three periods of their continuing education requirements solely via Kriss Law/Atlantic events.
Kriss Law/Atlantic is committed to continuing to offer these events. The firm's next event is a two credit opportunity on March 31, 2011 in Boston. Please contact Attorney Scott Kriss at scott@krisslawatlantic.com if you are interested in this session. A limited number of seats remain.
